MTL Print (www.meitaldp.com) recently introduced the Meital 304D, a flatbed UV inkjet printer that supports media up to 1 in. (25.4 mm) thick and 4 x 8 ft (1.2 x 24 m) in size. It comes standard with Xaar 1001 HSS printheads, offers imaging resolutions up to 1080 dpi, uses a four-color (CMYK) inkset that is formulated for two years of durability, and prints at speeds up to 2685 sq ft/hr (250 sq m/hr). Dual Scan mode accommodates backlit applications, and a matte/gloss option is available for all print modes. Caldera software controls the printer.
