The Gerber CAT UV is the newest member of Gerber’s (www.gspinc.com) line of Solara ion inkjet printers. It uses Cold Fire Cure low-energy-curing technology, designed to accommodate a wide array of substrates—including heat-sensitive and recycled materials—and a four-color (CMYK) GerberCAT cationic inkset. Gerber says the unit produces no ozone or VOCs. It supports imaging resolutions up to 1058 x 720 dpi and print speeds up to 408 sq ft/hr (38 sq m/hr), and the system can print onto media up to 64 in. (1626 mm) wide and 1 in. (25.4 mm) thick
