Indium Corp.’s (www.indium.com) newly designed tabbing and bus-ribbon kits are available in three versions, including one with a Pb-free, bismuth-containing coating. Each kit comes with common-sized tabbing and bus-ribbon and fluxes. Tin/silver, bismuth/tin, and tin/lead/silver kits use industry-standard CDA 110 (99.9% Cu) core flat wire that is coated with a layer of solder. Each ribbon is manufactured using a proprietary softening process designed to improve the yield of the stringing process without wafer breakage.
