Polycarbonate films are designed specifically for the manufacture of secure IDs.
Regal Graphics recently announced that is distributing a new series of SABIC Polycarbonate Films designed specifically for the manufacturing of secure IDs. The product lines include Lexan SD8B14, Lexan SD8B24, and Lexan SD8B94. SD8B14 is a transparent film used for clear overlays or intermediate layers. It is a one side fine velvet, one side fine matte textured film. Gauges range from 2-15 mil. SD8B24 is an opaque white film used for core layers. It is a one side fine velvet, one side fine matte textured film. Gauges range from 2-25 mil. SD8B94 is a transparent film used for laser-markable layers.
