Linx Printing Technologies (www.linxglobal.com) formulated its new Linx Opaque blue ink 1043 for continuous inkjet applications in the industrial sector. Blue 1043, described as a high-opacity sky-blue color, is designed for enhanced legibility and high contrast on light and dark substrates and engineered for adhesion to substrates such as PVC, plastics, and rubber. Linx says typical markets include packaging applications, cable extrusions, building materials, and discrete marking of parts that operate under harsh conditions, such as aerospace or automotive components. The ink is formulated for temperature resistance up to 392°F (200ºC), legibility at temperatures up to 572°F (300ºC), and resistance to UV, alkalis, acids, water, alcohol, cutting fluid, and other chemicals. Linx Opaque blue ink 1043 is optimized for Linx’s continuous-inkjet solution for pigmented inks, the Linx 7300 Spectrum.
