Will leverage passive and active RFID technologies
Savi and ODIN, two providers of RFID solutions, partnered to offer a comprehensive software platform leveraging both passive and active RFID technologies. The integrated solution will broaden and enrich a customer’s ability to track and manage their products real-time, controlling supply chain assets and transport conveyances, the companies said.
The software will be created to benefit use in the aerospace and defense, government, manufacturing, healthcare, and IT-services industries. Savi’s experience comes from active, battery-powered RFID and ODIN has experience in passive RFID. The software is designed to enhance supply chain performance, efficiency, and security.
The Savi-ODIN offering plans to combine Savi’s active RFID SmartChain Software suite and ODIN’s EasyEdge for passive devices to automate the collection of passive and active RFID data into a single platform.
