The OE-A grew by 50% during the last two years and now has more than 180 members worldwide.
The Organic and Printed Electronics Association members selected a new board of directors at their annual General Assembly meeting held on June 27, 2011, at the VDMA in Frankfurt, Germany. Stephan Kirchmeyer, Ph.D., from Heraeus Clevios GmbH, was elected to be the new OE-A chairman, and Andrew Hannah, Plextronics, Inc. was re-elected as vice chairman.
Additional board members include: Pierre P. Barthelemy, Ph.D., Solvay S.A., Belgium; professor Reinhard Baumann, Ph.D., pmTUC, Fraunhofer ENAS, Germany; professor Peter Fischer, Plastic Logic GmbH, Germany; David Fyfe, Ph.D., Sumitomo Chemical Co., Japan; Thomas Kolbusch, Cotema Coating Machinery GmbH, Germany; Jaap Lombaers, Holst Centre, The Netherlands; Wolfgang Mildner, PolyIC GmbH & Co., KG, Germany; Davor Sutija, Ph.D., Thin Film Electronics ASA, Norway; and Mark Verrall, Ph.D., Merck Chemicals Ltd., Great Britain. Wolfgang Mildner, PolyIC GmbH & Co. KG, stepped down after his six-year term as OE-A president.
“Wolfgang Mildner led the OE-A to become the premier global network of this emerging industry; we thank him for his groundbreaking impulses, and we are pleased that he will continue his work on the OE-A board,” Kirchmeyer says.
