When it opens its gates on June 19, LOPE-C 2012 (the Large-area, Organic and Printed Electronics Convention) will set a new record with more than 100 exhibitors from 17 countries. LOPE-C takes place June 19 - 21, 2012 at the ICM—Internationales Congress Center in Munich, Germany. In addition, more than 180 speakers from 27 countries are making presentations at the conference. For the first time ever, LOPE-C will feature a Demo Center with live demonstrations showing how to print functional layers for OLEDs and OPVs and how to produce printed copper structures. Free workshops with subsequent hands-on sessions will also be held at the Demo Center.

In addition to an extensive conference agenda (http://www.lope-c.com/en/conference/) and the large number of company exhibits, this year’s LOPE-C will also focus on concrete solutions and potential applications. For the first time ever, the convention will feature a special LOPE-C Demo Center where companies can demonstrate entire production processes such as manufacturing a thin layer of conductive polymer or producing conductive copper structures. OE-A member companies Coatema, DuPont Teijin Films, FUJIFILM Dimatix, Heraeus, NovaCentrix and Felix Schoeller will demonstrate the latest production processes in the sector for organic and printed electronics on two demonstration lines. Demonstrations will include roll-to-roll production techniques such as those used for OLEDs, OPVs and other printed electronics applications.

Besides the live demonstrations, LOPE-C participants can also take part in a workshop on the basics of inkjet technology. It consists of a 30-minute presentation in the Exhibitor Forum in Hall B0 and a 90-minute hands-on session at the Demo Center. The workshop, which is being held on the second and third day of the fair, is being organized by FUJIFILM Dimatix. The theoretical content from the lecture can be put to direct use in actual practice on the Dimatix materials printer. Details about the LOPE-C Inkjet Printing Overview Session 2012 are available here: http://www.lope-c.com/en/inkjet_printing_overview_session/
